▶How does a KUUS. senior alarm with fall detection work?
For the wearer it is simply a watch to read the time. It works on its own and does not need to be paired with another device over Bluetooth (it works with any SIM card, for example the free one included).
Family or the carer pairs the senior alarm watch with fall detection to the English app using the instruction video. In the app you set everything up and see the GPS location of your loved one.

Product description
KUUS S2 alarm watch for seniors with fall detection, alarm watch without subscription
The KUUS S2 alarm watch with fall detection lets seniors live independently and safely at home for longer, without an expensive subscription. The watch is designed for older users: large icons, a clear colour touchscreen and one obvious SOS button make it very easy to operate.
The S2 arrives ready to use. You insert the SIM card, pair the watch once with the KUUS app in English and after about 5 minutes everything is ready.

Alarm watch without subscription, independent and simlock free
The KUUS S2 is a true alarm watch without a subscription. It works with a regular SIM card and is simlock free, so you choose your own provider anywhere in Europe. The watch is not an extension of a smartphone, it works completely on its own.
- Read the time on an analogue or digital face
- Call preset contacts straight from the watch
- Answer incoming calls from family or carers
Family or carers use the free KUUS app for iOS and Android to set up the watch, view the GPS location, set a geozone and start a call or video call with the watch when needed. The senior does not need a smartphone. Everything runs over the SIM card and the 4G connection.

Fall detection and SOS button, double safety
The KUUS S2 is both a personal alarm and a watch with automatic fall detection:
- If the wearer presses the large SOS button, the watch calls the preset emergency numbers within seconds, up to 3 contacts one after the other.
- If the watch detects a fall, fall detection triggers the alarm automatically and the current GPS location is shared through the app.
To avoid unnecessary alerts, the sensitivity of the fall detection can be set in 6 levels, from highly sensitive to less sensitive. That way you match the alarm to the wearer's mobility and fall risk. If it is a false alarm, the senior can simply cancel it on the watch.

Senior watch with GPS, live location and geozone
The KUUS S2 is a full GPS watch for seniors. Through the free KUUS app, loved ones can:
- see the live GPS location of the watch,
- review the location history of the past period,
- set a geozone, for example around the home or care home.
If the wearer leaves that zone, the family automatically gets a notification on their smartphone. So you keep an overview in cases of dementia or wandering, without limiting the senior's freedom more than necessary.

Health mode: heart rate monitor and medication reminder
The KUUS S2 alarm watch is more than an emergency button. In health mode it offers:
- a heart rate monitor, measured with built-in LED sensors,
- up to 3 medication reminders a day.
The medication reminder plays as a voice message on the watch, ideal when medication is otherwise easily forgotten. In the app, family members can view daily steps and measurements if they want to.

Video calling and contacts
The ad-free KUUS app also supports video calling. Family or carers can start a video call, so the senior not only hears a voice but also sees a familiar face.
The app's phone book holds up to 10 important contacts. When one of them calls, the wearer sees the name and photo on the screen, extra recognition and calm, certainly with early dementia.

Strap, dimensions and comfort
- High quality leather strap, fits a wrist of about 14 to 20 cm
- Extra straps, velcro or sporty silicone, available separately
- Case size: about 4.7 cm long, 4.0 cm wide, 1.5 cm thick
- Weight: only about 52 grams, comfortable for daily use
Splash proof to IP67
The KUUS S2 is splash proof to IP67. Showering is fine, we advise against longer immersion such as swimming.

What customers say
Real experiences from customers who use this product.
Fine watch, only the GPS gives some trouble, but that is being worked on now
Try to aim at a somewhat younger audience as well, for example people with epilepsy.
Easy to set up, works perfectly. Do make sure the watch strap is firmly attached. The small metal pins on the strap bend easily.
Setting up the watch went smoothly, only activating the prepaid card that comes with it was awkward
Good, I am very satisfied
Only just arrived, so no real experience yet (fortunately). A deliberate choice to have my mother wear this one and not one with a subscription.
So many features!
Very difficult for someone of 85. That is the whole point, isn't it? They fall more easily.
The S2 works excellently and responds very quickly.
The language cannot be. Set to German, the SIM slot will not open. The watch is going back.
The watch is made of very good material.
tremendously useful product
It works, but installation is very complicated.Password hard to find. Still not entirely sorted. Adding a 2nd and 3rd person does not work.
After watching the video manual the installation was straightforward. The product works as it should.
Half-finished emergency watch
A few too many options for this older user (91 years), but I understand they have to be there. The alarm button and fall alarm work well. The leather strap is too hard for a fragile arm, but the velcro strap I bought separately is fine. A good product that gives me more peace of mind as a carer.
In consultation with my specialist I use nearly all the functions, good information and above all a safe feeling.
All the best
Lovely watch for that price.
Seems like a good watch to me, I live alone
I think it is a good product and suitable for people who can only arrange it with family
I am very satisfied with this product, good that this product exists. I have even bought another one already
Very good , recently ordered a second one. Very handy and clear to work with the KUUS app.
Very nice watch, and it gives a familiar and safe feeling
Fast and straightforward delivery, settings can also be made over wifi via the app. Bought for my mother, we will now take out a suitable German prepaid tariff, because the SIM card supplied cannot be activated for the Netherlands and Germany...
The watch is clunky, looks cheap, the screen is far too small, the bezels around it far too big. My father cannot operate it, it is far too small. You tap the wrong spot far too easily. This is not a good product for seniors. For the price it is a disgrace.
Fine watch for this price, no dodgy Chinese app and you are not tied to a compulsory mobile subscription.
A well working watch at least
A useful provision for older people. It is worth testing which sensitivity setting gives the best result when the wearer swings their arm quickly.
In use for 1 week now. ✨✨✨✨✨
Not in line with expectations
The watch face keeps switching off. The buttons on the screen are extremely small and hard to operate. On setting 5 the watch calls out as soon as you rest your wrist on the table, which causes a lot of irritation for the person being called.
I find the watch rather quiet, my grandfather is hard of hearing, but we are trying to get it louder.
Not in use yet
It does work, but not as easily as I thought
The instructions are clear but it is a lot of faff.
Good watch, though a bit thick, so extra screen protection is needed
Very satisfied, only the watch is a bit thick, so anti-scratch glass is handy.
It works well

How does the SOS button / panic button or fall detection work?
The user can press the SOS button themselves in an emergency. The watch or alarm button will then call the pre-set numbers. If number 1 does not answer, number 2 is called automatically.
KUUS alarm buttons and alarm watches also have a fall detection feature. If the device detects an unexpected fall, it automatically calls the pre-set phone numbers. The user can cancel this if it is a false alarm. You can adjust the sensitivity of the alarm.
Please note: if your voicemail is switched on, the watch cannot call the next number on the list. The watch then assumes the call has been answered. So switch off voicemail on the emergency numbers you use.
Does the GPS watch also work in Belgium, Germany or on holiday?
Yes. Our watch works throughout Europe. The included manual explains how to activate the watch in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain and all other European countries.
The watch comes with a free prepaid SIM card, so you can start straight away without needing your own subscription. The connection with this included SIM card is also very good in Belgium and Germany, but you can just as easily use your own local prepaid SIM card if you prefer.
Below is an overview of providers we recommend:
- Belgium: Proximus, Orange, BASE
- Germany: Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom, O2
- Spain: Vodafone, Movistar, Orange, Yoigo
What is the difference with an Apple Watch or other smartwatch?
An Apple Watch only works together with an iPhone, whereas our watch works independently with a SIM card. This means seniors do not need a smartphone to use this watch. You can still make calls with this alarm watch, because it takes a prepaid SIM card, with no subscription costs. This KUUS. alarm watch is designed specifically for seniors, with large icons.
When will my order be sent?
We package our products carefully in a sturdy letterbox-friendly box, so your order arrives safely. This means you do not need to stay at home to receive your delivery.
Does the installation take long? What does plug and play mean?
Our senior watches and alarm buttons are pre-programmed. You only need to insert the SIM card and pair the watch with our app. The rest happens automatically. Installation takes around 5 to 10 minutes if you read the manual.
The senior watches come with a Dutch and German paper manual. Would you rather watch an instruction video? We provide one of those as well.
How long does the battery last?
This depends on how intensively you use the device. If you make more calls or refresh the GPS location more often, the battery runs down faster.
The battery lasts 1 to 2 days, much like a smartphone. Charge it overnight, just as you would your phone.
To maximise battery life, set the GPS location update to 1 hour. You can always view the location in real time through the app by refreshing it manually.
How many medication reminders can I set?
You can set up to 3 notifications or reminders for the medication reminder.
Do I need to switch off voicemail for the 3 people who receive the SOS alarm notification?
Switch off voicemail on the 1st and 2nd SOS numbers.
Why? If voicemail is switched on, the watch assumes someone has answered. It then stops calling and does not move on to the next number.
If you want the watch to be able to call several numbers in a row, switch off voicemail on the SOS numbers.
Another solution: use an extra eSIM as an SOS emergency number and switch off voicemail on that number too.
This issue occurs with all SOS watches.
