Why choose KUUS.

An alarm that sits in a drawer helps nobody. So we built something people are happy to wear.

1

Fall detection

The watch notices a fall and raises the alarm by itself, even when pressing a button is no longer possible.

2

Rings three numbers by itself

One press of the SOS button and the watch rings up to three contacts, one after another.

3

GPS location

You can see straight away where someone is, out and about as well.

KUUS. next to a traditional alarm button

The same goal, two very different devices.

Traditional alarm button on a cord around the neck

Traditional alarm button with a subscription

  • Monthly costs
  • Often only works indoors
  • Usually ends up in a drawer
  • An alarm without a GPS location
  • The device is on loan and goes back when you cancel

  • No monthly costs
  • Works at home and out and about
  • Looks like an ordinary watch people actually wear
  • SOS, GPS and fall detection in one watch
  • You buy it once and it stays yours

KUUS. in 1 minute

How the watch works, explained in one minute.

How it works

STEP 1

The watch goes on

Worn as a watch on the wrist. Charging works just like an ordinary watch.

STEP 2

Something happens

One press of the SOS button. If a fall makes that impossible, fall detection raises the alarm by itself.

STEP 3

You get the call

The watch rings up to three contacts one after another and sends the GPS location with it.

Bas helping his father set up the watch at the table

Built by father and son

My mother fell and lay on the kitchen floor for two days. The phone was out of reach. Less than a year later, my father fell down the stairs.

Neither of them wanted an alarm button round their neck. Far too conspicuous. So we built it ourselves.

Really pleased. The first one was broken, we reported it, sent it back and were able to order a new one with a credit note.

We were helped very well when the Kuus broke down. Everything was explained clearly.

The watch would not connect to the smartphone, customer support responds very slowly and the problem was never solved. The emergency watch has gone back, not least because of the customer service that simply does not work. A shame, we would have liked to use the watch.

I am getting on in years (80). As I am not good with technology, it was installed for me; in practice it works well and gives me a feeling of safety. It is also reliable. I wear it day and night. One constructive point: it needs charging quite often.

A nice camera in itself, it works well with the app. For 55 euros I had expected slightly better image quality, and the SD card slot looks a little bent, though the card does seem to fit properly. If you want to watch the videos on your computer via the SD card, that is not possible. The files are saved with an extension you cannot open, so no MP4 or similar. Only through the app. After contacting customer service, a free return turned out not to be possible for a product that does not meet expectations. You are better off ordering through Bol.com, where returns are free.

If you have no experience, getting the watch up and running is quite complicated.
